Sis Boom Kelsey

Introducing, Sis Boom's Kelsey Dress!

It's been pretty quiet overhear lately. I've been spending a lot of time behind the sewing machine. First it was because I was sewing up nursery items for my sweet new niece, but after that I was invited to test for Sis Boom! I'm beginning to really enjoy testing. It's exciting to see how a pattern begins, and the process it goes through before it's ready to sell.
I love this pattern for a number of reasons. It's a quick sew, and it's really pretty for summer. Also, it's comfortable, which is very important to this little lady modeling. She's very particular about how clothes feel.
The back has encased elastic, so that it can fit well over a period of time. My favourite thing to do is sew up a tunic length for one summer, and since my girls grow up and not out it becomes a top for next summer. The pattern also has multiple lengths, and measurements for with ruffle or without.
I happen to enjoy hacking patterns, and although the feature isn't included in the pattern, it wouldn't be hard to have the straps straight instead of criss-crossed, or even turn it into a halter!
You can purchase the pattern here (not an affiliate link, I just like making things easy for my readers) and it is at an introductory price of $7.50 (for limited time).
As you can see, spring is finally here in Manitoba. It's gorgeous out and perfect for taking pics of summer dresses! Although Monkey didn't agree. Here's an outtake for proof, lol.
I promised to watch Dora with her in order to get some smiles out of her. It was a high price to pay (Dora is my nemesis, lol). And might I add she collected the debt before I was allowed to work on edits or my blog. A promise is a promise, right?
Remember, you can follow me on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook using the social media icons in the top and bottom left hand corners of my blog. Also my Pinterest Board with all my creations can be found in the bar along the right hand side. If you're looking to purchase or order something from my shop, you can contact me on my page. That's Sweet Stitch Shoppe. I love to hear from my readers, so please leave your comments and questions down below! Thanks for stopping in!

  1. I have made a tunic length Kelsey, but not a maxi. I may need to put it on my list. :)
